  7. SY-TOS (Sytrons Tape Operating System) version 3.01 for SCO XENIX operating
  8. system 286 and 386 provides the experienced as well as the novice XENIX user
  9. with advanced Backup, Verify, and Restore capabilities. Users may choose to
  10. take advantage of the familiar SY-TOS DOS, OS/2 versions user interface or work
  11. directly with Sytron's device driver through standard XENIX archival tools.
  12. Through the SY-TOS application, the user has the ability to append data to
  13. tapes, create multiple tape backups, input advanced file selection options
  14. (include, exclude, changed, or cursor flagging) and password protect tapes.
  15. With SY-TOS consistent tape format, users can interchange data files between
  16. DOS, OS/2, AIX, and SCO XENIX environments. Along with SY-24, Sytron's standard
  17. tape format, SY-TOS XENIX also has the ability to read and write in tar format,
  18. allowing tape interchange with other UNIX systems.
